Artscapes 2013 Offers Something for Everyone
Silent and Live Auctions to Benefit Knoxville Museum of Art

September 17, 2013 (Knoxville, TN) -- The Guild of the Knoxville Museum of Art presents Artscapes 2013 with a silent and live auction and dinner Friday, October 11. The silent auction and dinner begin at 6pm, with the dinner and live auction following at 8pm. Due to the renovations taking place at the KMA, this year’s event is being held at the Knoxville Convention Center, Clinch Concourse.

In addition to the auctions, a Preview Brunch is planned for Sunday, October 6 from 11am-2pm, also at the Knoxville Convention Center. Auction items encompass a variety of regionally and nationally exhibited works by artists well known to the Knoxville community including a selection of paintings, drawings, prints, glass, jewelry and fine crafts. Items may be viewed at the KMA website, www.knoxart.org or by e-mail request to kma.artscapes@gmail.com.

Highlights of the works to be auctioned include jewelry by Mia Katrin of Asheville, an oil on canvas by Knoxville artist Joe Parrott, a mixed media piece by Santa Fe artists Diane and Doug Hanson, an acrylic on board by artist Brad Stroman of Asheville, and a carved wood and metal structure by Cookeville artist Brad Sells.

Tickets for the Silent/Live Auctions and Dinner on October 11 are $150 per person. Tickets for the Preview Brunch on October 6 are $40 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets online visit www.knoxart.org.

The Knoxville Museum of Art The Knoxville Museum of Art celebrates the art and artists of East Tennessee, presents new art and new ideas, serves and educates diverse audiences, and enhances Knoxville’s quality of life. The museum is located in downtown Knoxville at 1050 World’s Fair Park and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10 am–5 pm, and Sunday 1 pm-5 pm. Admission and parking are free.
