DESCRIPTION:Friday\, October 9\, 2026 | 11 a.m.–1 p.m.\nKnoxville Museum of Art\nFree with registration | Space is limited \nEveryone has a story to tell\, and every story can become a song! \nJoin Music for Seniors for a fun\, interactive songwriting workshop with gifted songwriter and teaching artist Bill Cabage\, sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission and hosted by the Knoxville Museum of Art. \nParticipants will learn the basic elements of songwriting while contributing their own ideas\, stories\, and creativity to the collaborative creation of an original song. Working together with Bill\, the group will develop the song’s lyrics and music throughout the workshop. \nBy the end of the session\, participants will have created a song together and will perform it as a group\, led by the teaching artist. \nNo songwriting experience is necessary.
