Soundscapes at the KMA: April 2024

FORMERLY ALIVE AFTER FIVE • NEW NAME • NEW LINEUP

Welcome to Soundscapes at the KMA, a monthly concert series that combines the magic of art and live music at the Knoxville Museum of Art. We’ve curated an exciting lineup of musical acts spanning a range of genres that will take the stage one Friday evening a month from December to August. Enjoy the performance and a cocktail in beautiful Bailey Hall or explore the art on view as music weaves through the galleries. Soundscapes is an experience designed to elevate your senses and lift your spirit. Kick-off your weekend in an extraordinary atmosphere that allows you to see, hear, and feel art in a whole new way.

PRESENTING “A TRIBUTE TO MOTOWN SOUL II”—

The April edition of Soundscapes will pay tribute to the legendary sounds of Motown Records. Motown is more than a record label — it’s an extended family of some of the most iconic and influential artists, musicians, and songwriters of our time. Brought together by destiny through their love for making music, they found themselves making history. The list of Motown artists is nothing less than LEGENDARY —Diana Ross & the Supremes, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson & the Jackson 5, and so many more. Brian Clay and his band will be joined on stage by some incredibly talented special guests, performing songs from MOTOWN’S incredible library of hits from way back in history to today.
