Fully Awake: Black Mountain College DocumentaryApril 10, 2021 - April 25, 2021 |
The Knoxville Museum of Art is excited to share an exclusive online viewing opportunity of the documentary Fully Awake: Black Mountain College, now through April 25th.
We invite you to view this documentary as an enrichment to the exhibition A Lasting Imprint: Rendering Rhythm and Motion in the Art of Black Mountain College currently at the KMA and on loan from the Asheville Art Museum. Like the exhibition, the documentary takes you through the history, influence, and lasting imprint of the artists, students, and faculty of Black Mountain College. Black Mountain College’s innovative curriculum and groundbreaking collaborative experiments proved widely influential despite the school’s relatively brief history (1933-1957) and remote location in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
This 60-minute documentary will be available for streaming to the KMA audience for a limited time through Documentary Educational Resource. Please follow the directions below for viewing options.
