Intro Clay Face Pots and Patina Painting

Participants of all skill levels are invited to join this hand-building face pot-making class.

Creating a clay face pot is very simple, just have an image of a face in mind and get started. The first session participants design the face pot, and the second session participants will paint the mask.

Annamaria Gundlach is a professional clay sculptor and an outreach artist with the Knoxville Museum of Art. She has received numerous grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission. She teaches clay hand building, sculpture, arts and crafts, and creative writing. She is an arts integration specialist who can weave the elements of art into core subjects. She believes art facilitates learning because it engages all the senses and encourages, creativity and self-expression.

She collaborates with teachers and tailors lesson plans to achieve their objectives while meeting Tennessee Standards. Her passion for art is contagious as she believes everyone has an inner artist. Thousands of participants have experienced the joy of creating and learning with her. Her artist residencies and professional development workshops are available to all learners.
