Second Sunday Art Activity: July 2022

July 10, 2022 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Join us for July’s Second Sunday Art Activity:
Fiber Printing inspired by Althea Murphy-Price

This month, we will be making connections to the technical aspects of Althea Murphy-Price’s work, such as printmaking (monoprint vs. lithography), transformation of a three-dimensional material into a two-dimensional image that has 3D qualities, and the elements of a composition. Little artists will create monoprints using yarn with a certified art teacher. While “drawing” with the fibers, participants will explore parts of a composition such as shape, form, and line. The materials that we will be using are paper, liquid watercolor, and yarn.  FREE and open to the public!
