Position: Director of Development

The Knoxville Museum of Art, East Tennessee’s premier visual arts organization, is seeking to fill the position of Director of Development.

Position Summary:
The Director of Development at the Knoxville Museum of Art’s primary focus is on the cultivation and realization of major gifts, including naming opportunities, program sponsorship, individual giving, endowments and estate planning. The KMA Director of Development also leads a dynamic department spanning multiple areas of advancement, including special events, membership, grant-writing, affinity groups, and corporate giving. The person in this role is a bright, dynamic collaborator with exceptional leadership skills and high social intelligence, who can build and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships within the community.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of demonstrated development experience, preferably at managerial or directorial level
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field of expertise
  • Strong social network in Knoxville and the region

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
