Second Sunday Art Activity

Second Sunday Art Activity

Tools As Art Community Partner Day with The Home Depot Kids Workshop! July’s Activity will explore both construction and deconstruction using tools to make and unmake art. Families can drop in 1:00-4:00 pm for a free event to build and create projects inspired by the Tools as Art: Work & Play exhibition on display through August 4, 2024.  Volunteers from The Home Depot will conduct a hands-on building station, helping kids use tools to build items like birdhouses, flowerpots, and more. Meanwhile, the KMA art educator teaches a project based on deconstruction (or un-building) in art. Families can enjoy building together and learning about different ways to make art using tools and inspired by tools. Thank you to The Home Depot Kids Workshop for partnering with the KMA on this family event and sharing in our love of hands-on creating.

FREE and open to the public!
