Step into the extraordinary world of Eddie Owens Martin, better known as St. EOM, in The Pasaquoyan, a 1993 documentary directed by Doug Loggins.

This film traces the remarkable life and visionary imagination of Martin (1908–1986), the self-taught artist, mystic, fortune teller, prophet, and architect behind Pasaquan, an eight-acre psychedelic art environment in Buena Vista, Georgia. From his departure from rural Georgia as a teenager to his years in 1920s New York City and his eventual return to Georgia, Martin’s unconventional journey culminated in the creation of a mythic world where past and future collide.

Featuring interviews with figures including author Tom Patterson and musician Bruce Hampton, The Pasaquoyan offers a fascinating portrait of an artist who transformed his life, surroundings, and spiritual visions into an immersive work of art.

St. EOM is a featured artist in the Knoxville Museum of Art’s exhibition No-Man’s-Land, on view through November 8, 2026. This screening offers a chance to delve deeper into the life and legacy of one of the exhibition’s most enigmatic and visionary artists.
