Cattywampus Lantern Puppet Workshop

Lantern parades, kite festivals, and harvest carnivals celebrate the changing of seasons around the world and in our own back yard. KMA is pleased to be a host location for a Cattywampus Lantern Puppet Workshop on Sunday, November 15^th from 1-4pm.

This workshop is designed for individuals ages 10 & up who would like to learn how to create giant and small lantern puppets for Cattywampus’s inaugural Winter Solstice Lantern Parade happening on Saturday, Dec. 19th, 6-9pm at Seven Islands State Birding Park!

Materials will be provided for each participant to make and take their own small lantern puppet during our time together. We will also explore methods for creating larger-scale puppets using willow, rattan, coffee filters, fabric, lighting and more.
