21st Annual East Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition: Soft Opening

Celebrate the creativity and talent of East Tennessee’s young artists at the soft opening of the Knoxville Museum of Art’s 21st Annual East Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition.

This beloved annual exhibition showcases approximately 300 works by talented middle and high school students from public, private, and home schools across East Tennessee. Selected through a juried process, the artworks span a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and digital art.

The exhibition celebrates the strength of arts education throughout the region, recognizing the dedication of students and educators while giving young artists the opportunity to share their work in a professional museum setting.

Make the exhibition part of your winter holiday traditions and discover the next generation of creative talent. The exhibition will be on view through January 10, 2027, and is free to explore during regular museum hours.

Soft Opening begins Friday, November 27, 2026, open normal museum hours.

An awards reception honoring participating students and educators will take place on Tuesday, December 8, 2026.
