Gather at the Knoxville Museum of Art for Roots of Appalachia, an afternoon of outdoor live music, free BBQ, and good company celebrating the sounds and spirit of East Tennessee.

Enjoy a live performance featuring acclaimed East Tennessee musician Daniel Kimbro, with support from Madison Casey & Shane Smith, while taking in the fall atmosphere on the grounds of the Museum. Grab a plate of free BBQ, enjoy a drink from the cash bar, and settle in for an afternoon rooted in music, community, and the creative spirit of our region.

About the artist:

Raised on American Roots music in Eastern Tennessee, Daniel Kimbro is a multi Grammy-nominated musician with 20 years’ experience performing alongside luminaries including Eric Clapton, Jerry Douglas, John Hiatt, Transatlantic Sessions, Sarah Jarosz, Larkin Poe & many others. While his collaborations are numerous, his new solo album Carpet In The Kitchen showcases Daniel’s skills as a songwriter, composer & arranger. Guests on the album include Jerry Douglas, Mike Baggetta on electric guitar, & Jordan Perlson on drums. Known to International audiences for his work with the Transatlantic Sessions, Martin Harley, Harley Kimbro Lewis, and many others, Daniel continues to tour throughout the US, the UK, and Canada.
