Whimsical Slip Cast Creations!
Learn the ceramic technique of Slip Casting to create whimsical vases and vessels inspired by Wayne White’s word paintings, on view on at the KMA.
Slip casting is a ceramic forming technique where a liquid clay mixture, known as “slip,” is poured into a porous plaster mold, often used in dishware, this technique allows artists and craftspeople to create multiples of the same object.
This class will focus on mold making and using various techniques to decorate the surface of the work.
Whimsical Slip Cast Creations is beginner friendly and can accommodate all skill levels.
